Men bashing 101 using fake statistics

I realise that the following post might appear to be the intellectual equal of killing Bambi, but we will proceed anyway. I know that sexual assault figures are under reported, but why in gods name do the people who supposedly care, destroy their own credibility and show their ideology is not really about ‘protecting women’ but rather good old man hating tirades based around making up “data” on the fly. The article was written by a Nina Funnell and the statements in it were not sourced and are clearly false - the figures are ridiculously high and equate to 50 per cent of the female population being assault victims, and more than 30 per cent being sexually assaulted. I have contacted the author for the source of the quotes, but she refuses to respond. No wonder why!

“…In Australia one in two women will be physically assaulted at some point in their lives and one in three women will be sexually assaulted. We also know that by the time a girl turns 18, there is one in four chance she will have experienced rape or another form of assault”.

That the Herald allowed this type of rubbish to get past its editor is symptomatic of the overall downturn in journalism standards in Australia. We caught out one of the “child protection” agencies playing this sort of trick recently. Their excuse was that a temporary former employee had done all the work, and they had no time, or interest, to check or correct it. More on that one later!
